New: Sling Team Challenge, bring your family, neighborhood, school, or region and give it a NAME. Let us know if your are part of a team when you sign up.

What is the Sling Team Challenge?  By bringing more friends and family, you increase your chances of having the MOST participants in the sweet 16 on Sunday.  For the most participants on Sunday your entire team each wins $20 of Sling Swag.  Then on top of that if YOUR team produces the Winning Sling Champ, your entire Team wins a 2023 SLING CHAMPION arm band. Wear it with pride at future tourneys!

What is the MJN Good Time Pass?  Our mom Marilyn J. Neu was all about treating people right and having a good time.  We’ve felt the pinch of inflationary costs.  Rentals, permits, materials, and tournament expenses have significantly increased.  So that we can continue to provide a quality product and meet our donation goals, we would ask you to consider a $25 MJN Good Time donation for those not playing or volunteering.  It can be your way of helping the MS cause and giving back.  Plus you’ll get an MJN Good Time wrist band, Sling window decal and entry into the weekend getaway drawing!   Donate and get your MJN Good Time Pass here.

Slingball 2023 is scheduled for Friday, June 23rd to Sunday, June 25th and we are looking for your participation. You can support by playing, volunteering, or donating to help raise awareness and the fight against MS. Plus we’ll have the new SlingSets prototypes on display! Remember to book your travel and WATCH THE VIDEO below, for inspriration!

When:  Fri. 6/23 – Sun. 6/25 2023
Where:  Pacific City OR
Adults:  $99 Sign up here
Kids:  $49 Sign up here (Mini Marilyn Tourney)

Important: Brackets will close on June 15th.

We are in desperate need of volunteers to make the tournament run smoothly!
Volunteer here

  • The biggest area of need is scorekeepers- so much fun and interactive with the crowd. You DO NOT have to be an expert scorer—it is more about documenting the game.
  • Score flippers- this is a great volunteer opportunity for kids!
  • Runners- run the scoresheets up to the directors, another great kid opportunity.
  • Rigging crew- help the Neu Brothers with the setup on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning, setting up tables, sets, etc.
  • Merchandise Tent- do you have a knack for retail? We need volunteers for the setup, and volunteers to take shifts to sell the merchandise.
  • Specialized positions—promoters, snack shack, brackets, Shotgun Slingball

If you can’t attend the tournament this year but are still wanting to show your support.
There are some ways: donate a bottle of wine to our wine wall, donate prizes or silent auction items, and/or donate $.

Slingball 2022 “MJN Help Fight MS” was another smashing success!  Thank you to all who supported the cause.

Congratulations to new SLING Champion Ronan Eggleston and Mini Marilyn Champion Emerson “Goose” Meyer.

To the entire Team Sling… a sincere thank you!.  The winner of the Adult Slingball Tourney division was long-time player Ronan Eggleston out of Vancouver, WA. He defeated last year’s champion Jace Chadez (from Idaho) in the finals.  3rd place went to OSU grad Mitch Scanlan and 4th to Kevin Grant from Portland.  Plus check out this awesome article by legendary sportswriter Kerry Eggers.

In the kids mini Marilyn division the winner went to female champion Emerson “Goose” Meyer defeating Henry Gotsch followed by Kash Linder and Logan Wald respectively.  The Pearce Lutz kids sportsmanship award went to Maylee Astorquia.  Lutz passed away in a motorcycle accident, but his award lives on as he always demonstrated sportsmanship and kindness.

Special thanks go to Tillamook County and Oregon State Parks as well as the many businesses of Pacific City who donated.   And of course the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Portland and MS Society of OR.   Our mom Marilyn J. Neu was all about having fun, being good to others, and paying it forward.   The weather turned out perfect and instead of rain gear, it was sunblock! With everyone’s help, we were able to raise $14,000 dollars to put towards the fight against MS!
